About the memorial: Situated in the centre of the village just off the main Huddersfield Road some 100 yards down Miry Lane. The plaque is on the external wall of an old mill building on the right as you go downhill but you will need to go into the courtyard to see it. Description – The Memorial brown metal plaque is believed to have been put there by the local firm of R. L. Brook, a firm no longer in existence.
