About the memorial: Wooden triptych with names on the outer panels. Central panel has painted classical female in grieving pose in front of tombstone with dedication. Central panel is flanked by carved, Corinthian columns. Heavily varnished wood. Gold, painted lettering. The triptych is sited in an upper chamber only accessible by appointment. There is an accompanying brass plaque in the main body of the church. There are 98 names on the memorial but 100 mention on the plaque. The two missing names are believed to be J E Morris and W H Mulhearn. The original site was in the Parish Church Boys School, Devonshire Street, where there is another plaque on the outside wall (WMO/223605).
