About the memorial: Standing at the edge of the churchyard adjacent to Main Street. Of limestone on a limestone base. Incised brass name plates. In good condition on the 9th April 2015. Kirmington village was adjacent to the RAF bomber base, RAF Kirmington, which is now Humberside Airport. Further down Main Street is a memorial garden to the bomber crews (see separate memorial entry).
