About the memorial: The chapel was dedicated to the South Wales Borderers in 1923. it contains WW1 and WW2 memorials as well as the Colours flown at Rorke's Drift in 1879 and memorial panelling to that battle.

To the glorious and immortal Memory of the 311 Officers and 5466 Men of the South Wales Borderers (24th Regiment), who gave their lives in the Great War 1914-1918, this Havard Chapel has been beautified by their Comrades and Friends in proud and grateful thanksgiving.
