Little Common 1920. (this was probably the original inscription but the WW2 has been added below on this face) 1914 – 1919 Our glorious dead. (names) “How can man die better.” In proud and grateful memory of the men and women of Little Common who gave their lives in the fight for freedom 1939 – 1945. “At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them” !939 – 1945 (names) We remember those lost on active service in conflicts since 1945.
