About the memorial: Wooden triptych with the carved figure of St. George killing the dragon in the centre and a carved canopy above him. Inscription carved in relief on the left and right hand sides. Whole is mounted on a pillar.

This shrine is devoted to the glory of God as a thank offering for his gift of victory in the Great War 1914 - 1919 also in grateful remembrance of the men from this parish who served and suffered more especially of the fallen on whose souls may God have mercy.
