About the memorial: A representation of an Irish round tower - a cloigtheach - in memory of Fenians involved (but not killed) in the Fenian Revolt of 1867 and buried in the Liverpool RC Cemetery. Maybe technicaly not a 'war' memorial but honouring those seen as 'fighters' by the Liverpool Catholic community when it was erected in 1931.
