About the memorial: Large wooden board with curved top and divided into three between wooden carved pillars either side. there are two long lists on either side for those who served, presumably in order of the shops on the inscription and in the centre, under a laurel wreath is the inscription below and a small wooden plaque listing those who died. The whole is dedicated to those from various shops who lost their lives during the First World War.
