About the memorial: This memorial is dedicated to three local volunteers who died in the Spanish Civil War and is located at the Blantyre Miners Welfare Charitable Society & Social Club. This was erected by East Kilbride and South Lanarkshire Trades Union Council on 24 October 2009.Thomas Fleck died April 1937 Chimorra. William H Fox died 15 April 1937 Jarama. Thomas Brannan died February 1937 Jarama.
