About the memorial: The memorial is a round plaque on the wall at the riverside end of the Galleria, not far from HMS Belfast, whose bow can be seen in one of the photographs together with that of a cruise ship moored alongside. The Galleria is a highly gentrified rebuild of a former dockland complax close to London Bridge Sation. It is not clear whether the memorial was put up when the complex was rebuilt or whether it was originally part of the old complex and was moved to a new position.
