About the memorial: A Gothic plinth surmounted by a spire and a cross. These are set on two steps and a base. The WW1 names are on the faces of the plinth in Black lettering while the WW2 inscription is around the base. The whole is surrounded by a paved area with railings

East Face: To the/Glory of Gad/and in loving memory of those/who gave their lives in the Great European War/1914-1918/(Names). Lower inscritpion on East Face: 'Greater love hath no man than this, that/ a man lay down his life for his friends'. Base inscription on East Face: To the Glory of God/ and remembering those/ who served 1939-1945. Other Faces: To the lasting honour/ of those who served WW1 Names.
