About the memorial: Granite cross on granite base. Wheel cross constructed basically of rough-hewn stone comprising a two-stepped rectangular base incorporating bevelled top faces, surmounted by a tapering rectangular sectioned plinth, bolster and tapering rectangular sectioned shaft with integral closed wheel cross. Smoothened areas on frontal faces of the plinth and steps bear inscriptions utilising pinned-lead lettering. Enhancements to the front faces of shaft and cross design include recessed roughened central areas leaving smoothened outlines with raised letters "I H S" at the centre of the cross.
