About the memorial: On the north side of the A1075 road to Dereham, on the outskirts of Shipdham.A row of trees, planted/sponsored by various members of the local community, to commemorate those men of Shipdham who fell in the two world wars. There are 29 names for WW1 (which matches those on the village war memorial) and 8 names for WW2 (but there are 10 on the village war memorial). The is a sign board, within a wrought iron frame, listing the names of those commemorated and their sponsors.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
