About the memorial: Within the church, on the left hand (north) wall of the nave.A white marble plaque surmounted by a gilt wreath of laurels and cross, beneath a cornice. The sides flanked by brown marble columns. Listed below are the names of 29 men who gave their lives in WW1, giving ranks and full names. (The general commemoration states 28 men, but one name has been added later.) The order of the listing has not been worked out: the upper section is by rank, and then alphabetically within ranks, but the section, although in a similar order, has some out of sequence.
