About the memorial: Within the churchyard, on the south eastern corner of the church.A floral cross atop a tall, slender polygonal pillar, adorned on the front face with a reversed sword. This sits upon an polygonal, corniced base. On the front face is the general commemoration for WW1, with the names of 11 who fell listed on the adjacent left and right faces. The names are listed in surname alphabetical order, with rank and first name. The name of one who fell in WW2 is listed on the front face below the general commemoration. The whole stands upon a two-stepped, tiered base, within a gravel and stone surround. The panels which bear the inscriptions are of marble.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
