About the memorial: A large illuminated paper/card centre with flags, shields flowers and the Royal Crest painted, creating a border enclosing 5 sections containing the names of both the fallen and those who served. This is mounted on a larger wooden surround.The Memorial is missing, but there is still a discernable lighter area on the wall upon which it was displayed. A photograph is available from the Lancashire Archive Office.
