About the memorial: Within the church, immediately to the right of the door, on the right hand (south) side of the nave.A wooden, framed board, with carved surmount, commemorating those from the village who served and who died in WW1. The names are in two groups according to the years in which they enlisted, either 1914-1915, or 1916-18. 28 men are listed under 1914-15, of whom 4 died; 12 men are listed under 1916-1918, of whom 5 died. The names are listed alphabetically by surname within each grouop, with initials for those who survived, and with first names for those who died. Those who died are shown in gold, and annotated with a '+'.
