About the memorial: Wooden board with peaked triangular top featuring a photograph of HM Queen Elizabeth II and a memorial plaque attached under the photograph. Sits on top of a fireplace in a lounge area along with other memorabilia of the 1st Battalion Kings Regiment.... However, the pub is now permanently closed and the site is residential. The only lasting sign of the hotel is that the adjacent roundabout is called the Plough Roundabout. The present location of the memorial is unknown though I have left pin and address as they stood pending investigation.. Major Titchener was from Southport and was killed in Iraq in 2003 (see link).
