About the memorial: A new treble bell, cast by John Taylor of Loughborough, was installed at St. Mark's Church, during the restoration programme of the spire & tower in 1948. This addition not only augmented the ring from five to six bells, but also became a WW2 memorial bell. The dedication took place on Sept. 3rd. 1948.
