In memory of Lieutenant Colonel Neville Bowes Elliott - Cooper, V.C., D.S.O., M.C., Royal Fusiliers, youngest son of Sir Robert Elliott - Cooper K.C.B., and great grandson of Captain J. Elliott R.N., of Elliott House, Ripon. He died a prisoner of war in Hanover on February 11th 1918, from wounds received in action near Cambrai on November 30th 1917, where for 'conspicuous bravery and devotion to duty' he was awarded the Victoria Cross. He was buried in the Military Cemetery at Limmer, near Hanover. Aged 29 years. R.I.P.
