About the memorial: At the back of the Dean's Yard is the remains of the wall to the old Archbishop’s palace consisting of a series of arches with iron railings blocking each opening. Behind the central railings, containg a wreath, is a rock showing a simple white cross and dedicatory plaque. On the cill of each arch is a metal plaque, showing the crossed keys of St Peter insignia of the Division and names of battles in which the Division fought.At the side is a plaque noting the date of unveiling in 1987 by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
