About the memorial: This wall-mounted limestone war memorial, set into a redbrick wall, comprises a simple cross on three steps and set against a flat panel flanked by two incised rectangular tablets. A pediment hood surmounts the memorial. The bae of the memorial comprises a flat square stone with wall-mounted incised tablet. The memorial is set into the churchyard wall St Mary The Virgin Church in Hurley. Please note that the google map is wrong in its designation of churches. There is no St Peter and St Paul Church in Hurley, and St Mary the Virgin is marked in the wrong place - it should be where St Peter and St Paul is marked. The church is part of a former abbey and the memorial is a cross with two plaques in the churchyard wall under a small semi-circular canopy
