About the memorial: The memorial is sited on a kerbed and grassed triangular road junction refuge. Three-stepped stone base surmounted by a tapering square plinth with tapering wheel cross shaft. Inscriptions in black lettering on sides of plinth. Sword of sacrifice in relief on shaft of cross. The base of the memorial is surrounded by a paved area and chain-linking supported by 8 posts.
