About the memorial: The stone built memorial is located in the Churchyard. Three-stepped square base surmounted by a square plinth, rectangular sectioned shaft and cross. Sword in relief on front face of cross. Inscriptions on slate panels around plinth >>> 1993: Memorial was to have lettering re-cut as the names on the 3 & 9 o'clock faces were badly worn. An extra name also to be added to the WW1 list. Instead, new slate plaques were used & added in May 1993.
