About the memorial: The memorial is roadside in front of Forglen Hall, not to be confused with the stately home Forglen House. It is at a road junction, with Forglen and Bogton off to the west. Turiff is a few miles to the south east. Names and photos on SWMP Link. In the Church hall there is a the side room containing a memorial to Forglen boys who lost their lives in World War I in the form of a framed picture with photographs of each individual, a list of names and dedication. There is also a brass plaque in memory of George Findlater VC, Gordon Highlanders Battalion Piper. For his actions on 20 October 1897 at Dargai Heights in India.
