About the memorial: The memorial, set back from the roadside, is located at the entrance of Church Way, off Main Road, Duston. Three-stepped base surmounted by a square sectioned stout limestone pillar topped with a small plain Latin cross. Moulded drapery around top of pillar & laurel wreath at base. On the flanks of the pillar are a portrait orientated WW1 incised stone tablet infilled with black paint & a WW2 bronze plaque with black background & white lettering.
