About the memorial: Set at the far end of the newly refurbished (Completed September 2018) memorial chapel, a wooden triptych. The central panel has an elaborate pediment decorated in gold. The flanking panels are also bordered in gold. The central panel shows Christ emerging from the tomb. Carved coloured panel with illustrations representing the three armed services. Centre panel depicts Christ. Left hand panel depicts the WRNS, ATS and WAAF. Right hand panel depicts a fireman, a nurse, a housewife, a Red Cross worker and a land-girl. Dedicatory plaque on wood panelling below.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
