About the memorial: The memorial is on the north side of the road into Hallen from the east, near the junction with Moorhouse Lane. The memorial was originally sited by the chapel on the other side of the road and moved when he chapel became a private residence. Stone cross standing on three low tiers. Inscription on arm of stone cross. Metal plaques on cross bear further inscription and WW1 names. Separate metal plaque re WW2 added to second base tier.
