About the memorial: Originally in situ in Mount Zion Primitive Methodist Church, Lowergate, Clitheroe ; when the church shut it's war memorials were transferred to Moor Lane Methodist Church where they were stored until that church too shut down . Since that time they have been stored under the floorboards at Trinity Wesleyan Church , Parson Lane, Clitheroe . A large picture, framed in oak, containing the photographs of men connected to the school,- who fell in WW1 , - positioned around the sides, with a central plaque bearing the inscription which had been written by Mr. F.Stark. Unveiled by Mr. Michael Tomlinson, who conducted the class in the absence of Mr. W. Birch, ( who had been serving in the war zones with the Y.M.C.A.) The service was conducted by Mr. G.Coleman Snr. (Superintendent ); the memorial framed by Mr. W. Alderson, who also supplied the photographs of the fallen.
