In memory of William Archie Taylor, private 7th. King's Liverpool Regt. only son of William & Mary Ellen Taylor who fell gloriously in the service of his country in Flanders April 5th 1915 aged 22 years. An ardent patriot he died as he had lived, an example to all young Englishmen. This tablet to a true friend and faithful follower is erected by Lieut. Colonel C. Dalrymple White, Grenadier Guards, M.P. Southport Division. 'Fear God, honour the king'.
