About the memorial: Roll of Honour to the fallen and those who served during the war - illuminated tablet with the flags of the Allies as a heading. Originally at the company Reading Room in Barrow. Then moved to Jollies Memorial United reformed Church in Barrow,. This entry places it in the Clitheroe United Reformed Church. Local knowledge to confirm this would be welcome.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

You can save your Pre-application enquiry form as you go along. Once submitted War Memorials Trust will respond.

This Roll of Honour is subscribed by the members of the above reading room to commemorate the names of the men belonging to or connected with Barrow and Lamb Roe who answered their country's call in the Great War 1914-1919. The following gave their lives (names).Let no man look upon these names in sorrow but in pride and may we live as nobly as they men who served during the war. (names). 'Thank God we have won.'
