To the glory of God and the dear memory of Harry van Tromp who served as a Volunteer with the 22nd Royal Fusiliers in the Great European War from Septr, 14th 1914 and was killed in action May 23rd 1916 on the Vimy Ridge near Souchez, France. Aged 34 years. Served with the West Somerset Yeomanry for 2 1/2 years in the Boer War of 1899 - 1902. His duty done.
