About the memorial: Copy of original in Royal Chapel of St John. Roll of Honour in book form, one of the original books given to all churches in 1921. Compiled by editors of three local newspapers, and given to the then Government Secretary Bertram Edward Sargeaunt. At his suggestion, the Rolls of Honour were to be placed in a prominent place inside each church and that a page should be turned at regular intervals.
