About the memorial: Two-stepped square base surmounted by a square sectioned tapering plinth with inscription tablet. Mounted on this plinth is another square step, in turn surmounted by a further square sectioned plinth. Rising from the second plinth is an octagonal sectioned stone cross with a sword in relief on front face. Inscription on plinth. The whole memorial is surrounded by a small gravelled area and stands within an open plan garden on a corner plot with Church Lane & High Street.
