PRAISE GOD FOR EDWARD HENRY MOSSE RECTOR OF THIS CHURCH WHO WAS KILLED IN AN AIR RAID IN THE EARLY MORNING OF THE XXIX JANUARY A.D. MCMXVIII WHILE MINISTERING TO HIS PEOPLE AND FOR THE MEN OF THIS PARISH WHO DIED FOR KING AND COUNTRY IN THE GREAT WAR IN THEIR MEMORY THE GATE HAS BEEN MADE INTO THE CHURCHYARD FROM COVENT GARDEN MARKET AND THIS DOORWAY MOVED FROM THE SOUTH VESTRY AND THE CROSS PALCED ABOVE THIS DOOR. GRANT THEM O LORD ETERNAL REST AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON THEM.
