About the memorial: Calvary cross on top of tapering, octagonal stem with cap and foot mounted on octagonal, footed plinth, with etched years and names on its faces, placed on 3 stepped base. The stone used is a nice example of Upper Jurassic Portland Stone (the same stone used for many Commwealth War Graves headstones) and contains many good examples of fossil oysters.
