ERECTED BYCHARLES ERNEST BATES AND MARY ELIZABETH HIS WIFE OF LIME COURT IN THIS PARISH IN LOVING MEMORY OF THEIR TWO SONS ALBERT JOHN, WHO FELL AT HEMEL, FRANCE ON SEPTEMBER 3rd 1916 AGED 23. AND REGINALD ERNEST WHO DIED OF WOUNDS AT ARRAS APRIL 19th 1917 AGED 20. AND AS A GRATEFUL TRIBUTE TO OUR FIGHTING MEN OF ALL ARMS WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR FREEDOM IN THE GREAT WAR.
