About the memorial: Memorial plaque with laurel branch and badges of the three regiments alongside the names of the Officers of the 37th (Prince of Wales's Own) Dogras, 38th Dogras and 41st Dogras, infantry regiments of the British Indian Army, who died during the 1st World War. The memorial was originally in the Garrison Church, Jullundur, Punjab, India, as stated on an accompanying plaque just above the main plaque (visible in photo). The 37th Dogras was in the 14th Indian Division and took part in the Second Battle of Kut and the Capture of Baghdad during the Mesopotamia Campaign. The 38th Dogras was stationed at Malakand on the North West Frontier in Aug 1914 and remained in India until late 1917, when it was posted to Aden and then to Suez. The regiment saw active service against the Ottoman Turks at the Battle of Megiddo in Sep 1918. The 41st Dogras served on the Western Front and in the Mesopotamia Campaign.
