About the memorial: inside the church on the right hand wall is a small group of items commemorating this person. There is a NOWY headed polished red sandstone tablet with gold painted incised letters, a photograph and a metal plaque about the giving of the memorial below. NB there is a second memorial inside the Civic Centre, Wolverhampton where it is included in a wooden framework housing the book of remembrance.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

COVENTRY/ IN ACTION OFF THE COAST OF CRETE/ ON 18TH MAY 1941./ BORN 19TH APRIL 1911. on the brass plaque it says "This tablet was the gift of Miss Dorothy Helen Pratt/and was dedicated on the 15th May 1982.The Victoria Cross is in the keeping of /the Treasury in Coventry cathedral. Our gratitude towards the brave, a hero's glory, lives beyond the grave."
