Status: On original site
Type: Freestanding
Location: External
Setting: Roadside
Description: Other landscape feature
Materials:
  • Flora and Fauna Tree(s)
Lettering: Inscribed on a plaque
Conflicts:
  • Second World War (1939-1945)
About the memorial: Orchard with surrounding stone wall.inscription tablet set into an elevated section of the wall incised arch surrounds inscription. Two crossed trumpets below. The plaque is mounted in the wall alongside the footpath that leads from Park Lane up to the church (adjacent to the private driveway that leads to 'The Mount'). Therefore I presume that the orchard is the large field in front of the church, between the church and park lane.
