About the memorial: The memorial comprises a landscaped feature and timber monument within the Branston Leas woodland development sited between the River Trent and the Burton/Birmingham main railway line. The memorial is accessed by public footpath. The memorial includes eight benches and the timber memorial (approx size 6'0' wide x 5' high) with three attached plaques, set in a cleared and woodchip surfaced area. The memorial commemorates the names of four Salvation Army Veterans lost in World War One along with the names of 29 Branston residents whose names are also recorded upon the Branston Village war memorial.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.
