About the memorial: Ornate stone cross with floriated ends to the head. Serpent-encircled sword carved in cross shaft. Cross surmounts six-sided plinth. Plinth with dedication and carved detail stands atop hexagontal base with four steps. Plaque with names set into angled step in centre. Three-sided wall surrounded back of cross and bears names of fallen.
