About the memorial: small walled garden with access through wooden door on left of castle approach. door was locked with no information about how to gain access. On the door was a poppy wreath and a plaque outside with an inscription and a winged horse with the regimental emblem as in the photo. there is a paved path surrounded by lawn and planted borders. A flagpole stands beside a black polished plaque with names in white - fixed to the back brick wall - while, in front of a trellis panel on which were hung poppy wreaths, there is a shaped grey plinth with what appears to be a dedicatory inscription. (could not access to record)
