About the memorial: It is a dark stone (polished Slate) plaque on the Right hand /South side of the church. The area where the plaque is quite dark so that it was difficult to get a clear photograph of the memorial.

To the Glory of God and in loving memory of Lieutenant James Gordon Keay 2/5th, Royal Warwickshire Regiment. Younger son of Ernest Charles and Edith Ellen Keay of Longmynd Edgbaston.Killed in action Neuve Chapelle July 2nd, 1916. Aged 20. Greater love hath no man than to lay down his life for his friends.
