About the memorial: St Paul's Church Balsall Heath was demolished in 1980, The Stone memorial outside the main church entrance was destroyed. However, two pieces of the memorial were saved and are now on the outside wall of Balsall Heath Church Centre, Mary St, Balsall Heath. This includes the top section of the cross and section of the plinth containing the memorial inscription. There were also two wooden panels inside the church containing the names of those from the Parish that died during WW1. Records indicate that these panels were destroyed during demolition.
