To the glory of god and in loving memory of a beloved husband and father Lionel George Nuttal Eales born July 19th 1864 died May 2nd 1902 aged 37, of gastritis when on active service with his regiment during the South African War. This brass is erected by his wife and daughters'I shall go to him but he shall not return to me' Only goodnight not farewell a little while and all the saints shall dwell in hallowed union indivisible.
