About the memorial: Latin cross, with stepped base showing dedication, set on square plinth with names standing on square 3 stepped base in small plot surrounded by low chain fence. The public war memorial was unveiled on Sunday 21st March 1920 by Lord Winchilsea The memorial is a Latin cross about 9 feet high of white Portland stone, which has been, erected near the entrance of the Cemetery Lincolnshire Chronicle 27th March 1920 Memorial is 1650mm wide by 1275mm deep by 2700mm high.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
