About the memorial: Bound and illuminated book, a roll of honour of 257 names of men of Clitheroe and surrounding districts who laid down their lives in World War 1 . Handwritten lettering of names and regiments with illustrations of regimental badges at the heading of each section - all being executed in red and black ink. Presented in a table casket ,glazed, and made from oak grown on the donator's estate at Mytton,Whalley, Lancs. A card in the casket with the Book states ' This Roll of Honour is the gift of / Mytton Hall / Whalley / 1931.
