About the memorial: The Roll of Honour is engraved on a piece of slate installed in the outside brick wall of the church yard facing the stone cross on the village green. The wall is brick and has a brick tile ledge on which the stone is standing and the stone coping stones of the wall have been built up round the top of the stone. It includes those women who served in nursing units.
