About the memorial: Captain John Eugene Crombie of the 4th Battalion Gordon Highlanders is remembered by a tablet. Born on 30 April 1896, he died of wounds aged 20 on the 23rd April 1917. As a Lieutenant in 1915 he was wounded in action twice. As Captain he led his Battalion in the Second Battle of the Scarpe during an action at the Chemical Works at Roeux. He is buried at Duisans British Cemetery, Etrun at IV A 22. It is at the west end of the South Wall

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

You can save your Pre-application enquiry form as you go along. Once submitted War Memorials Trust will respond.
